Perhaps some fun games to play, or a tricky puzzle or maze
to solve...

Whether or not your site's primary purpose is to entertain -
a few puzzles or games might be very useful in attracting people and
perhaps keeping them coming back.
At EncycloZine, our
most popular pages
are consistently the
Java -- based games,
the
puzzles,
optical illusions, and
mazes.
And it needn't be hard to install some - in fact,
I think it's one of the easiest ways to 'add value' to a site.
Many splendid games are available, for free, in
Java.
Of course,
the definition of 'fun and games' is bound to be vague and fuzzy --
some people might regard quizzes on quantum mechanics as being lots of
fun, while others might prefer a shoot-em up arcade game or a juke-box
of MP3 music files.
I'll resolve this by letting practical experience and my own biases be
the guide...
