Perl Resources

This page lists several of the best Perl resources.

A Taste of Perl by Jim Rafuse.
A Second Helping of Perl by Jim Rafuse.
CGI.pm - a Perl5 CGI Library
This perl 5 library uses objects to create Web fill-out forms on the fly and to parse their contents. It provides a simple interface for parsing and interpreting query strings passed to CGI scripts. It also offers a rich set of functions for creating fill-out forms. Instead of remembering the syntax for HTML form elements, you just make a series of perl function calls.

The Perl Institute
is a non-profit organization dedicated to making Perl more useful for everyone. They support the creators, developers, maintainers, and users of Perl. To that end, the Institute acts as a coordinating and communication center to connect people, information, ideas and resources. In order to unleash the Institute's full potential, they need and invite active participation from everyone in the Perl community.

www.perl.com
is the central Web site for the Perl community. Launched by Tom Christiansen, www.perl.com provides a starting place for finding out everything about Perl.

The Perl Language Pages.
You will continue to find all the information that Tom Christiansen developed as part of the Perl Language pages on www.perl.com.

The Perl Reference Pages
are a comprehensive guide to Perl resources of all kinds on the Web. Edited by Clay Irving, the Reference Pages will be updated regularly and can be easily searched to locate information on any topic.

Tom Christiansen kindly supplied the following information:

You have some really great pages on perl cgi programming. Might I possibly nudge you into slightly pushing people to use the better modern libraries (CGI.pm etc) instead?

Here are some URLs you might find useful. I hope you might include some on some of your pages.
