As you surf around the Internet today you will begin to notice
that numerous sites have begun to implement many aspects of one
of the latest Macromedia products -
Flash 5.
If you have experienced Flash 3 or 4 get ready for a whole new
excitement with this latest version!

In this article we are going to look at some of the latest
functions of Flash while hopefully giving you a little bit of a
sneak peak into the future of the application.
Basically, Flash creates graphical presentations and animation
for Web sites. These usually consist of vector graphics, but can
also include bitmaps and sounds. Flash can be used to create
animations (such as logos), site navigation, cartoon-like
sequences, and even entire Web sites to create a true multimedia
online experience. The final exported movies (.SWF files) are
usually compact and can be download quickly. Files made up of
mostly vector-based graphics can be shown to scale in a browser
without the loss of visual quality.
Although the Macromedia Flash program has been around for quite a
while, it is now becoming an industry standard for building
entire Web sites as well as adding interactivity and dynamic
effects to the site.
