Pre-requisites
Pre-requisites
- This course assumes that you are
very familiar with basic web design and the theories behind
web programming.
- To make sure that we are all on the
same level, I suggest that you read the following web
documents before you begin this tutorial.
- Introduction
to Web Design - This is a three day tutorial which covers
beginning-intermediate level HTML and image manipulation
- Web Programming 101:- This is two articles which
introduce some of the main concepts in web programming.
- Also, this tutorial assumes that you
have access to a web server's cgi-bin directory where you can
test out CGI scripts. (Note: Not all servers
require you to put CGI programs in a special directory.)
- Finally, this tutorial assumes that you
have installed the latest version of the Java Developer's Kit
(JDK) from Javasoft
