Pre-requisites

Pre-requisites

  • This course assumes that you are very familiar with basic web design and the theories behind web programming.

  • To make sure that we are all on the same level, I suggest that you read the following web documents before you begin this tutorial.

  • Also, this tutorial assumes that you have access to a web server's cgi-bin directory where you can test out CGI scripts. (Note: Not all servers require you to put CGI programs in a special directory.)

  • Finally, this tutorial assumes that you have installed the latest version of the Java Developer's Kit (JDK) from Javasoft
